“…sublime playing. Breathtaking performance… it seemed a young Horowitz was reborn.”
(“Piano world Magazine”, Amsterdam)
Critics and listeners often compare playing of Ukrainian pianist Alexei Grynyuk with legendary Vladimir Horowitz. “…overwhelming with divine purity...majestic... he has captured the audience with a deep musicality...crystal clear and beautiful tone... dignified, beautifully structured performance.” (“Chopin Magazine”, Tokyo) “… a spell-binding performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No 5, “Emperor”... His opening allegro was so full of grace and power that I could sense the audience wanted to break with convention and burst into applause. Grynyuk produced fireworks of his own from his fingertips in the faster passages, but also displayed his sensitive control of the slower moments.” (“The Worthing Herald”, UK)
At the moment Grynyuk lives in London actively pursuing an international career. He already performed at the most famous world concert halls, including London Wigmore Hall, South Bank Centre, Salle Cortot & Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatoire and recital tour in South Central America, as well as in USA, Japan, South Korea and Morocco.
His performances have been broadcasted on BBC Radio 3, Hessicher Rundfunk Frankfurt, Radio France, Ukrainian National Radio, Chinese, Russian and Ukrainian television.
Acclaimed by London magazine “Musical Opinion” for his “breathtaking technical accomplishment and musicianship of the highest order” Grynyuk has been invited to appear in such prestigious festivals as Cervantino (Mexico), Dushniki Chopin Festival (Poland), Kremlin Music (Moscow), Musica Sacra Maastricht, Newport Music Festival, Rhode Island and Mannes College International Keyboard Festival (New York).
Grynyuk plays chamber music as well. With these performances he already appeared at Lincoln Centre (New York), Montpellier (France) and at many other halls.
Notable competition successes include first prizes at the Dyagilev Competition in Moscow, the Vladimir Horowitz Competition in Kiev and the Shanghai Piano Competition in China.
Pianist (born in 1977) started playing piano at the age of six. He studied at the Kiev Conservatoire under Valery Kozlov before winning a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied with Hamish Milne.
