On March 5th the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra will guest appear in Klaipėda. Sergej Krylov, the Orchestra's artistic director, will play solo violin in the performance of Haydn's Violin Concerto in C major and Paganini's Five Caprices (arranged for violin and orchestra by Edison Denisov). The latter piece may bring to memory his debut appearance in Klaipėda, in November 2008, when he gave a riveting performance of Paganini's Twelve Caprices for solo violin.
The programme “Caprices and Voices”, which the Klaipėda Concert Hall presents in association with the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society, will also include works by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Peteris Vasks.
