AS Piletilevi PLG, the group behind the Bilietai.lt brand in Lithuania, has taken a major and historic step by acquiring Ticketportal – the leading ticketing platform in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Following this acquisition, Piletilevi PLG’s annual ticketing volume will double, reaching nearly EUR 600 million. The deal was finalized on June 12 in Prague.
This acquisition marks a strategic expansion that strengthens PLG’s position in the international market and lays the foundation for further investment. Today, the company operates in seven European countries, uniting regional market leaders under one strong group brand.
“This transaction is a natural continuation of our long-term strategy to become the leading ticketing company in each of our markets by offering the most effective sales channel for event organizers,” says Sven Nuutmann, Chairman of the Board of Piletilevi PLG. “Ticketportal is a strong and trusted brand – a true benchmark for the Czech and Slovak markets. Integrating this brand and team into our group opens up new opportunities for both sides. We are confident that this will bring new challenges and shared success stories,” he adds.
PLG entered the Czech and Slovak markets in 2023 by acquiring a majority stake in the GoOut.net platform. Since then, the company has continued to operate under the leadership of CEO and minority shareholder Lukáš Jandač, achieving impressive results in a short time. The collaboration has now reached a new milestone with the acquisition of the former market leader in both countries.
“By bringing together GoOut, Ticketstream, and now Ticketportal, we are creating something this region has never seen before,” says Lukáš Jandač, Head of PLG’s Czech operations. “Our goal is to capture a significant share of the market and provide best-in-class solutions for events of every size, genre, and location.”
Following the transaction, Lucia Bočánková will continue in her role as Sales Director, while Lukáš Jandač will formally take over as CEO of Ticketportal. Sven Nuutmann will become Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Nuutmann also emphasizes that PLG will continue investing in technology development and building a unified group-wide ticketing platform. “We firmly believe that tickets are sold not by technology, but by a stable user base. Technology enables the process to be efficient and seamless. A single platform supported by the largest audience in Central Europe gives organizers a unique and powerful sales channel – and access to all PLG markets. Migration to the new platform has already started and will be completed across the Baltics and Central Europe by the end of 2026.”
The deal was financed by PLG and SEB Bank. WOOD & Company served as financial advisor, while PRK Partners s.r.o. provided legal counsel.
According to Peep Jalakas, Member of the Management Board at SEB Bank, the deal highlights Piletilevi PLG’s ability to scale internationally. “We support ambitious companies with a long-term vision that aim to grow beyond their home markets. Piletilevi PLG is a great example of this. SEB is not only a financial backer – we are a long-term partner offering strategic support. As an international bank, we are proud to support PLG’s growth in Central and Eastern Europe and to help finance the largest transaction in the company’s history. This proves that Estonian companies can play a significant role in Europe’s cultural and entertainment landscape.”
PLG currently operates in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Romania, and is the largest ticketing company in Central Europe. Together with Enskilda and Superia, PLG is entering a new investment phase, aiming to raise capital through the bond markets. Combined with continued support from SEB Bank, this will ensure the group’s sustainable growth.
PLG is owned by entrepreneur Sven Nuutmann’s investment company Angel Rose Capital, leading Baltic private equity firm BaltCap, and Estonian investment company Tristafan. Operating in seven countries with a combined population of around 80 million, PLG celebrated its 28th anniversary in spring 2025. The group distributes more than 21 million tickets annually, worth over EUR 600 million, and its websites receive more than 160 million visits each year. The group’s greatest strength lies in its professional team of 350 employees who deliver best-in-class service every day.
