Kultūros ir meno laivas Nemuno 7
Nemuno7 - the original name of a dredger used to deepen the riverbed in the Nemunas. Built in 1965 in what was then Czechoslovakia, it could no longer be used for its intended purpose due to outdated technology that was harmful to the river ecosystem.
Instead of destroying it, a more sustainable solution has been chosen: to give it a new role and transform it into a cultural space where the main themes are water, sustainability and dialogue.
On the deck of Nemuno7 you will not only find works on the theme of water by 10 Lithuanian artists created especially for this space, but also pioneer plants, which you will be able to get to know in more detail.
The Nemuno7 exhibition space presents the exhibition series Fluid bodies (curator Valentinas Klimašauskas). The first part of the series is the exhibition "Fluid bodies. Streaming states", featuring works by Tomas Daukša, Goda Palekaitė and Adrijana Gvozdenović.
