Next spring German power metal giants Primal Fear to perform in Lithuania for the very first time

On March 29th, the German power metal band Primal Fear will do their first concert in Lithuania at the Art Factory Loftas. Going strong for nearly three decades and releasing 15 studio albums, the band will delight the Vilnius audience with lush guitar riffs, a galloping rhythm and the powerful vocals of lead singer Ralf Scheepers.

The setlist is built to introduce both the top pieces of the latest album “Domination” - The Hunter, Tears of Fire, Destroyer, I Am the Primal Fear, Hallucinations, and to delve into the rich catalog of hits accumulated over the years - The End Is Near, Chainbreaker, Metal Is Forever, Seven Seals, King of Madness, Running in the Dust, Nuclear Fire, etc.

Lithuanian thrash metal band Phrenetix have been confirmed as the opening act for Primal Fear's entire Baltic tour. Phrenetix has taken a creative approach to the thrash metal genre, developing and expanding its boundaries. Fast, technical and unrestrained, yet melodic at the same time - Phrenetix aims to combine the spirit of a party with an honest and fresh take on classic metal music.

Primal Fear was formed in 1997 by Ralf Scheepers (vocals, ex-Gamma Ray) and Mat Sinner (bass, vocals, producing, band Sinner). Scheepers and Sinner have been constants in the heavy metal scene before the band was founded. Ralf Scheepers sang in the bands Tyran Pace, F.B.I.and the internationally successful band Gamma Ray. Mat, on the other hand, has the band Sinner since 1982, and has also participated in such projects as Silent Force, Level 10, etc.

Their debut album “Primal Fear” was released in February 1998 and entered the German LP charts at place 48 thus making it one of the highest chart entries of a debut album in German metal history. Since then, a total of 15 studio, 2 compilation and 2 live albums have been released. The ninth album, “Unbreakable”, which was released in 2012, has achieved the greatest commercial success.

When asked about the latest album, “Domination”, which was released on September 5, 2025, founding member Mat Sinner smiles: “We've entered the studio and we can choose from a pool of about 25 songs! We're absolutely happy!  A sheer luxury problem when you see what made it into the final selection." And he is absolutely right. From the hard-hitting fanfare opener The Hunter and first single Far Away, to the uplifting mid-tempo anthem Tears Of Fire and the epic ballad Eden - featuring a surprise guest appearance by Ad Infinitum's Melissa Bonny - “Domination” delivers on all fronts.

Over the years, the lineup of Primal Fear musicians has changed several times, with only the core of Scheepers and Sinner remaining unchanged. Currently, the band consists of long-time guitarist Magnus Karlsson and recently joined ones - Thalia Bellazecca (guitar) and André Hilgers (drums).

Change often arrives uninvited and feels like a setback at first, but sometimes that’s exactly what is needed,” comments Ralf. Just like the band’s logo, the phoenix, the band have repeatedly risen from the ashes, from their lowest points, proving that they’ve never left the throne of heavy/power metal royalty.

The band members are excited to look forward to the extensive tour supporting the latest album “Domination”. Ralf Scheepers: “I haven't felt as great in a long time as I did singing some of the new songs!”

Magnus Karlsson: “I can't wait to hit the stage with Primal Fear again! It's going to be an incredible ride! We're going to create something truly special together, both and the studio and live, and I'm so grateful to share this journey with all you metalheads! Metal is forever!”
