The Four Seasons – Antonio Vivaldi's iconic masterpiece – will be performed in a deeply personal interpretation by Stanisław Słowiński, the InfraArt Orchestra, and leading improvisers of the European music scene. The concert is part of a tour promoting the album recorded to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the publication of this epochal cycle. The ensemble visits, among others, the Vienna Konzerthaus, Berliner Philharmonie, Rudolfinum Prague, Warsaw Philharmonic, NOSPR Katowice, Mozarteum Salzburg, as well as a number of the most prominent Polish stages. This new interpretation of Vivaldi's work combines an in-depth analysis of the source material with the freedom and expression of contemporary improvisation. The basso continuo, performed on classical instruments enriched with a Nyckelharpa and percussion, will be realized by leading Polish improvisers. The skill and charisma of the soloists – expressed in improvised, virtuosic cadenzas and interludes – bring a fresh color to the musical layer of the composition.
The Four Seasons is a phenomenon in the history of music. It has captured the hearts of performers and audiences around the world. There is no sign of its popularity waning, and the universality of Antonio Vivaldi's music offers successive generations of artists space for their own interpretative paths that evoke vivid and emotional responses from the public.
