Gyvosios archeologijos dienos Kernavėje XXVI
The 26th International Festival of Experimental Archaeology, Days of Live Archaeology in Kernavė, invites you on an unforgettable journey through time!
From July 4–6, 2026, Kernavė will become a place where history isn’t just read—it’s experienced. For three days, surrounded by majestic mounds, a vibrant, pulsating world awaits you, where past and present merge.
The festival’s theme, “A Coloured Past,” will reveal just how vibrant our ancestors’ world was. From tribal garments dyed with natural pigments to warriors’ shields and flags adorned with symbols—this year, colors will help us feel the spirit of the past more vividly. Don’t miss the chance not only to see history, but also to touch it with your own hands.
Hundreds of live history specialists from Lithuania and abroad will be waiting for you: masters of ancient crafts, medieval warriors, musicians, and scholars. This is one of the largest and longest-running live history events in the Baltic region, as well as the most spectacular open-air celebration of State Day—the Coronation of King Mindaugas.
You can look forward to:
● Spectacular reenactments of medieval battles
● Live demonstrations of ancient crafts
● Games, entertainment, and contests
● Lectures and presentations
● Educational activities and workshops
● Live music
● Activities for the whole family
Special attention for our youngest festival visitors! Educational programs, creative workshops, games, contests, and performances tailored specifically for children—there’s something for everyone here.
