BIRŠTONAS SUMMER MUSIC

From 3 to 9 August 2026, the Birštonas Kurhaus will be filled with music. Over seven evenings, the BIRŠTONAS SUMMER MUSIC festival will invite Birštonas residents and resort visitors to meet renowned Lithuanian performers, young musicians and music from different periods.

The festival programme will feature operatic arias, vocal chamber music, piano recitals, and music for flute, piano, accordion and other instruments. Baroque music will meet Romantic masterpieces, Impressionist colours, and works by Lithuanian and other Baltic composers.

Each evening will have its own atmosphere and story. Audiences will enter the world of opera, discover the power of piano music, follow paths of love, sighs and passions, encounter unexpected combinations of instruments, explore the depths of Čiurlionis’s music and hear the distinctive voices of the Baltic countries.

The BIRŠTONAS SUMMER MUSIC festival is an integral part of the International Birštonas Summer Academy of Arts.

Alongside acclaimed concert artists, the festival will also present young performers, for whom appearing before the Birštonas audience will become an important step on their professional journey.

The intimate and welcoming atmosphere of the Birštonas Kurhaus allows audiences to hear music at close range – to follow the performer’s ideas, appreciate the subtleties of interpretation and sense the changing moods of each work.
