The NESSUN DORMA Night Concert Marathon invites audiences to an uplifting evening with two of Lithuania’s most distinctive jazz artists – vocalist Veronika ChiChi and pianist Dmitrij Golovanov.

This is a duo united not only by music, but also by life itself. Their artistic partnership is built on mutual understanding, elegance, creativity and a remarkable sense of musical dialogue. Each performance becomes a living conversation in which voice and piano, improvisation and emotion, jazz tradition and personal artistic expression merge into a single musical experience.

Veronika ChiChi’s voice can be tender and intimate one moment, powerful and radiant the next. Dmitrij Golovanov’s piano playing combines virtuosity, expressive depth and an unmistakable improvisational imagination. Together they create music rich in colour, spontaneity and emotional energy.

The programme Life Is Beautiful brings together original songs in Lithuanian and beloved jazz standards celebrating the beauty of life, everyday joys and moments of genuine human connection. The evening will also feature music from the duo’s recent programme neYra, a distinctive jazz-inspired reflection on Lithuanian folk songs and musical heritage. These works remind us that cultural roots remain alive and meaningful even in a constantly changing world.

Veronika ChiChi is one of the leading voices of Lithuanian jazz, admired for her artistic charisma, expressive vocal style and captivating stage presence. Her career includes international projects and performances across Europe, the United States and China, collaborations with the creators of the acclaimed contemporary opera Have a Good Day!, appearances with her own quartet, the retro swing trio The Ditties, and numerous other jazz ensembles. Her latest album, Namai (Home), has received warm acclaim from both audiences and critics.

Dmitrij Golovanov is widely regarded as one of Lithuania’s most accomplished jazz pianists, composers and improvisers. His achievements include reaching the semi-finals of the Montreux Jazz Piano Competition, becoming a finalist of the European Jazz Competition, receiving the Lithuanian Musicians’ Union Golden Disc Award, and being honoured with the Grand Prix of the Birštonas Jazz Festival for his contribution to Lithuanian jazz. He currently serves as President of the Lithuanian Jazz Federation.

Life Is Beautiful is an evening that invites listeners to pause, reflect and rediscover the beauty hidden in simple moments, human connection and the shared language of music.

Following the concert, audiences are invited to remain for the Media Opera ČIURLIONIS: I SEE MUSIC – a unique theatrical concept created by composer Audronė Žigaitytė. Inspired by the visionary world of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, it combines music, visual art, animation and digital media in a journey where music becomes vision and vision becomes music.
