What if society was just a sta–e – and the roles we play, a game we never signed up for?
In THE –AME – GRAND FINALE, Luxembourg-based choreographer Jill Crovisier stages a sharp, ironic, and emotionally charged reflection on the systems that shape our lives. With a cast of eight performers from across the globe and rooted in three years of international research, the piece unfolds as a choreographic theatre of avatars: recognisable, exaggerated, and eerily human.
Crovisier's work moves with the precision of contemporary dance, the bite of social critique, and at times, the theatrical flair of a Bob Fosse mood – stylised gestures, glittering absurdity, and a wink at the audience. There's tension, beauty, and anger in the movement, but also a deep tenderness: a loving gaze toward the mundane things that make us continue.
Told through a distinctly female lens and emerging from a feminist dramaturgy, THE GAM– – GRAND FINALE asks how we perform oursel–es – in public, in private, in crisis. It's Shakespeare's "all the world's a stage," rewritten for our current moment of fragmentation, spectacle, and soft rebellion.
