Duo In Ventum | Muzika ant vandens
July 13th at the Palanga Botanical Park Pond – one of the most anticipated events of the 13th International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival. This exceptional concert attracts large audiences each year and invites listeners to experience music in an unusual, magical setting – with sounds drifting directly from the surface of the water.
Next to the historic Tiškevičiai Palace, surrounded by the beauty of nature, the pond becomes a stage for a unique musical spectacle: performing from a floating boat, the wind duo Duo In Ventum will not only reveal the delicate harmony between flute and clarinet but will also serve as a visual highlight of this poetic evening.
The concert program is a musical journey through various eras and styles. The repertoire will feature works by M. K. Čiurlionis, J. S. Bach, F. Krommer, K. Kummer, M. Ravel, L. Delibes, L. Daquin, and L. Wiedemann.
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:
Flautist Brigita Beinarytė and clarinetist Simonas Šablevičius are members of the younger generation of musicians, united by a passion for chamber music. Both are currently studying at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and actively perform in various cities and festivals across the country. They also compose and arrange music. The duo Duo In Ventum was formed quite recently – in 2024 – but has already earned audience acclaim for their expressive performances, sensitivity to musical spaces, and professionalism.
The festival is organized by the public institution "Klasika LT".
