Stjepan Hauser from "2Cellos" will perform in Vilnius next summer

In the height of summer, on July 11, one of the world's most famous cellists, Stjepan Hauser, together with a band and orchestra, will perform on the stage of the picturesque Kalnų parkas in Vilnius. The co-founder of the "2Cellos" band, known as the "bad boy" of classic music, has announced his long-awaited solo tour - "Rebel with a Cello".

Now known simply as HAUSER, Stepjan promises the audience an outstanding musical performance, in which the firework-like expression of the cello superstar will be inextricably intertwined with his romantic, even lyrical side. All this will be complemented by appropriate video projections on a large back-screen.

The music’s mischievous romantic is including his concert program everything his fans have come to know and love through his visual media presentations, like the wildly popular “Beach Party” and musical dreamscapes like the “Alone Together”.

Since that fateful moment when he decided to create a new, musical experience out of the long and established traditions of classical, pop and rock music, HAUSER has been playing arena concerts all over the world and, defying the conventions of the established music business. His iconic rendition of Michael Jackson’s, “Smooth Criminal,” the vehicle that launched him as an internet sensation and has not only captured the hearts and minds of millions but more importantly, has cemented HAUSER as one of the world’s most important 21st century instrumentalists.

HAUSER’s innate, musical flexibility has led to a wide range of collaborations with many artistic legends including Andrea Bocelli, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, George Michael and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. Still, it is his personal, visually stunning YouTube series, “Alone Together,” launched during the 2020 pandemic featuring musical portraits of his home country, Croatia, that stunned audiences with its sheer beauty and, landed his very first solo album, “HAUSER - CLASSIC” at #1 on the Billboard chart.
